Film of the Month awards
« on: July 04, 2006, 03:44:29 AM »
I would like to start a film of the month contest. Before I start, i would like to ask one simple thing:

If you are not NOMINATING a film, or VOTING for a film, please do not post anything at all. This threads purpose is to find the best film, and honor all of our filmmakers. The rules are as follows:

1. You cannot nominate your own film

2. You only get one vote a month

3. When you nominate a film, your only vote automatically goes to that film

5. Only the first 5 nominations every month are accepted

6. Please wait until 5 films are nominated before voting, or until the last week of the month (which ever comes first)

7. The winner of each month automatically becomes the first film nominated the next month, but DOES NOT get an automatic one-vote

8. Each film's creator MUST have an account on these forums in order to accept the award

9. The film MUST be about aces high, and MUST be compiled entirely from Aces High In-Game Footage

10. Music may be any music so long as it does not break the rules of the forums

If you are nominating a film, please provide a link to the film, the film creator's name, and the film's name. If you are voting for a film, simply say "I am voting for [Film's name here] by [Creator's name here]."

Thats all that should be posted. Thank you.

I'll try to post my Carrie Sortie film again, but this time, with a few more scenes and sound fx's, by the end of this week.

I would also like to nominate "Plink's aerobatics over the cv".
It has a definate beginning ,middle and end. He also has some great scenes and flying skills.
for what its worth i dont think we should nominate our own. i think its poor form.

Madman's "Old School German Iron"

He did not record sound from the film view and so that means he did a lot a GREAT sound effects work for his film.  I like his video theme and the content of his film.  Plus he did a great and creative piece with the credits.  Great fights as well.  Good views throughout his film.  Also a good choice of music although I'd like to see a song or two changed, but that's just my opinion. :)

Madman  or "uvwpvw":)

There's a difference between "nominating" and "submitting".  People that make their own film can submit them for the contest.  Nominating and voting is basically the same thing.

I hope this helps.

And Madman's film gets my vote for July.
