A man and his wife saved their money for many years in order to take a trip to the Holy Land.
Finally, the day came when they could board their plane and take flight on their dream vacation.
Landing in Ben Gurion Airport, they met their tour guide, and over the next several days, traveled through that fabled land, enjoying the sights.
But on the fifth day, the wife suddenly died. In an effort to make the necessary dispositions concerning her return to the U.S. for burial, the husband contacted a mortuary in Jerusalem. The proprietor informed the husband that he could inter his wife for the paltry sum of 300 dollars, but that he did not know how much it would take to ship the body back to the U.S. He offered to find out how much that would cost and that the husband should come back the next day.
When the husband returned the next day, the mortician informed him that it would cost about $7,000 to ship his wife back to her home country.
"Well," the husband said, "I guess I better pay the $7,000. From what I hear, they once buried a fella here and three days later he came back to life."
