Will someone plz train me. Everything in this game is confusing to me and i have problems flying the plane. will someone train me.

I'm sure you'll find someone!

Go to the training arena, and ask for help there. Usually there will be a trainer there during US prime time hours, and if not there often is a volunteer who will pitch in.

You can also email the trainers as a group to set up a personal trainer session. Use the email link in my signature line, below my post.

You'll be amazed at how much help you can get! But dont get discouraged, because this honestly is the most challenging game I've ever come across.

For the confusion - or rather to help with it: Take a look at the Help File and at Net Aces. Both have a lot of helpful info that will save you many a grey hair and frustration in the game. I know that you dont want to read right now, you want to fly, but trust me.... the time and effort will be WELL worth it. Aces High is a very realistic Flight SIM and as such has a rather steep and trying learning curve. But if you put some time and effort into it, it will be a game that provides a lot of fun.

For your flying problems:

Make sure your Joystick is properly set up and calibrated. If you have trouble with the how, try Hammers Joystick Setup Help.

Get a plane thats easy to handle for starters. Spitfire Mk9 or Hurricane Mk2 or N1K are such planes. Reduce ammo and fuel load in Hangar, as a lighter plane will be easier to control. Always remember: Be gentle with that stick of yours

. No jerky movements, keep your speed and try to make smooth maneuvers. Practice turns and loops, get to know your plane, what it can do and what it cant.

You can do this offline, but if you prefer to practice with others around, you have a two week free Online. Go to the Training Arena, youll be able to practice there and probably find some longtime player or a Trainer that will answer your questions.

Mail the trainer corps with a note when you have time, the bigger the timeframe the easier for them to find a fitting time.

Go to training arena and praktice take off and landing with a plane of choice, read the manual. Dont worry if your have trouble with the landing, its doubtfull weather you return to base anyway the first weeks.

Get into a good plane, like spit8, n1k, p51 and stick with one of em that suits you. Better to learn how to fly one plane than to hop around.

Make sure you know (find in the manual how to do it and try out in training):

How to put throttle to full, 0 and engage wep.
How to put gear down and up.
How to put flaps down and up.
How to start engine.
How to look around.
How to roll the plane with ailorons.
How to drop/raise nose with elevators.
How to check the map and read it (hind: you can switch legend on there).
How to put on level autopilot.

If you get that you should be good, just take no externals and no extra weapons. All the other stuff will come with time.

Also its good if you understand how to read the e6b, for a start you want a flight time of 21 mins at full throttle on take off... when you have more then you have to much fuel. When your fuel is at 5 mins try to rtb and remember what your fuel gauge read is when you start rtb. That way you soon figure out how to get home with your last drop of fuel.

I need a rainer as well.
Been reading about tactics and still getting whooped in a turn fight.

I have been to the training area for almost two weeks and never a trainer in there.
I also e-mailed to schedule a training but no response.

I'm horrible and I have yet to live through a sortie however if you're embarrassed about asking a trainer for help pm me and I'll tell you how to get off of the ground and land at least 50 percent of the time

I mean that

however all of the above advice is good as well the trainers on this site are awsome and will help with any and everything you need to know

GenMata, whats your ingame ID and during what times are you generally online (Time Zone!!!)

Im no trainer, but im fairly certain i can help you with flight and combat basics. The official trainer corps are not the only ones helping, theres a whole bunch of vets (longtime players) that do so as well.

When in the training arena, ASK ACTIVELY for help. If noone answers, dont get discouraged and try again after a few minutes.

Schutt is right, theres a few things you can do yourself:

Help file and Net Aces are two sites where you can get almost every questions answered. For the ones that are left, just post here

Schatzi and Schutt are correct, there are many things you can do to make the Trainers job easier and help improve your knowledge and get up to speed faster.
You doing the basics like learning commands and the interface is very helpful.
I've also found if you look these things up you remember them longer than someone just telling you it's XYZ command.
You shouldn't have to ask how to start the engine.
Think of it this way... if you are new and ask those simple questions, ones you can easily find out for yourself, don't blame the Trainer when he has to stop when he's teaching you a lag pursuit roll to answer a "how do I start my engine?" question from a person who didn't do the easy stuff.

I have read most of everything posted on tactics etc. and watch many films.
They make it look so easy.

My biggest problem which is a serious one.... patience.
Spending 10 minutes to get alt and to get to a fight only to die in 30 seconds errks me to no end.
I can BnZ but when I get chased I get caught even when I have alt advantage.

I just joined a squad that will help me some.
They are strickly a BnZ squad, and I want to be able to turnfight some.
I have a new CH stick otw and that will help with SA I hope.
The one I have only has a 4way hat and thats been a problem.

If I get into a turn fight I rarely ever see the enemy's tail. They are all over me. Hi YoYos, Lo ones, Immels, split S's and full flaps or no flaps it don't matter.... I die. I like the PJ, Nikis and FW190 for BnZ.

I think seperation is my biggest problem. I'm always being outflown.
I can never turn a fight to my advantage.

Sorry GenMata...I just spent the past 3 hours training with some folks in the TA. I'm not sure of available times but im pretty sure we can get any one of us trainers to hook up with you. What's your in game call sign?
