...for a couple of weeks.

My joystick went totally crazy last night, killed me 3 times in a row. I am out till I will buy a new one.

So nits and rooks now have one less target drone to shot down

Right now problem is not in a buying a new joystick. I think that something with my gameport, because from the first day with this computer I have problems with joysticks. In a very short time they start spiking, moving opposite directions, etc. When I try them then at the other computers they still seem broken. Actually in the last few month I lost 4!!! joysticks this manner. Can not get why it is this way, I even do not plug joysticks in the working computer, but seems that problem is in a game port which someway spoil my joysticks.

So I will try to get USB stick or at least to change a game port before getting new stick.

Till than I will probably fly only buffs. I tried it online with one of the spiking joysticks, and thought it is hard to gun I can still able to bomb and goon.

Sounds like a sound card problem . Have you looked for updated drivers for your sound card?

You might also try Dx7a if you don't have it already. (Dx 7.0 spiked like crazy for me, 7.0a fixed it.) 7a is available at www.microsoft.com/directx . If you have 7.0 a 250 KB update is all that is needed to get to 7.0a.
