Hey,

I made a film and I converted it to an AVI and then I wanted to edit with Windows Movie Maker so I go to File then Open so I go to HTC, Aces High 2, and Films. Then The file isnt showing up. The File type needs to be a Windows Movie Maker Project (*.MSWMM).  But When I changed the file type to All, All of my movies pop up and I click the one i Want to edit and then it says,  An error occured while opening this file. Either the selected file is not a Windows Movie Maker project file or the project file is corrupted.

I would Appreciate some help.

If you did convert a film to avi, why don't you open the "avi" file?

Windows movie make will not open Aces High II film files, but it will open "avi" files.  That's the whole point of converting the AHII film files into avi files.

You might also want to choose "insert" instead of open while running windows movie maker.  WMM, if you chose open, will look for WMM project files, while "insert" will insert avi files into your project.

(I don't use Windows Movie Maker)

(I use sony vegas 5.0)

After launching WMM, open a new project (CTRL_N). Then *import* your avi files (CTRL_I) first. Now they will show up in your library and you can insert them into your project. Edit away.

Now whenever I import it says the following.

This file cannot be Imported.
Make Sure that it is a Valid File Type and its contents has not been corrupted C:/Program Files/HTC/AcesHigh 2/Films/Film24.avi

Are you able to watch the avis with Windows Media Player? It sounds like you got corrupted files there.

Besides, im guessing you use the "save to avi function"? Its buggy as can be and will give you more gray hairs then you can count. Try http://www.fraps.com instead. Lot easier and faster.
