RangerSounds Platinum Patch 1

Fixes:
-New Spitfire engine sound (current one has a weird,short squeak in it).  Apply to all Spits/Seafire except Spit14.
-New Wirb/Osti Engine sound (current one has a "pop" in it that drives me crazy. Apply to Wirbel & Ostwind.
-New-P47 engine off sound (was told current one was weak, so this is a beefier one). Apply to all P-47s.

Simply download, unzip and copy & paste these sounds into the correct folders, overwriting the current ones.  

 

Ranger, the site doesn't work for your patch.  I've tried it multiple time and continue to get this :

DB_DataObject Error: Connect failed, turn on debugging to 5 see why

I think your patch1 link is broken.

Well I only tried it as a test because if I use anyone else sounds other than Twins I'll be cleaning the latrines for a year !!

If anyone doesn't like the startup voice(s) from the tower, simply delete the engstart.wav file from the plane folders, or get new one from another pack & replace them.  I knew before making them that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I learned long ago you can't ever make everyone happy.  I wanted to do something unique soundpack-wise, so I went for it.  At least this is something a player can change on his end without too much effort.

*shrug* I like them.. in fact I like them so much I've converted some to m4r format and slapped them on my iphone.  Hope you don't mind.  I love the looks I get when my phone starts spouting German or Japanese and the engine starts or when the B17 or P38 file goes 'you are cleared for liftoff' and you hear those engines firing up.  Heh.. even the explosion sound is cool when I don't get to a call right away..

Ranja you know I love your stuff, heck ive only been flying your offline missions latly, but I got one complaint well not so much a complaint but you missed something.....and that just proves your are really human:-) the K-4 tater sounds like a MG..............sounds strange when i fire them and hear MG fire lol should i put the 30 mill sound in the 109 folder?
