Ok all, everyone says you got to get this book. So I went out & got it. Come home , put book on top of monitor and fly. Shot down. Think about it. Move book under joystick. Shot down. Think about it. Move book under key board. Same result...I know there just has to be a way to program the book to my joystick buttons......Mentioned my delema on line and some one suggested I READ AND APPLY the book.   Hmmmmm...You all sure that the book doesn't go Under the computer or.......

See ya online

Seriously, it's great book, BUT, remember to tell me when You've finished it (dunno from what country are You from) !
Lots of information with very technical writing. As non-english and not-so-good in english, it quite hard to read...
AND when I understand something about this and that, where is the key to apply them in practical use ?
Ok, I could try it online few times, but then  again, I forget it and fly as usually, head in my bellybutton

Kind of gives a whole meaning to the phrase "Flying by the Seat of Your Pants".

I'm in the U.S. but I can't read english either! So far so good. Only problem is I could only remember half of two moves last nite on line. Did a guns defense and it worked! got an over shoot and then got shot down while looking up what to do with an overshoot  Going to take a lot of practice. It's a darn good thing I have so many lives to loose for my country:d

Man you crack me up.

Try this, Put the dang book on the toilet tank, so when your in the thinkin' position, you can consentrate on what your reading.
READ,READ,READ. Sooner or later some of that knowlege will sink into a brain cell or two.

I've been re-reading mine for a year. Then one day, you'll be flying about, you will get in a situation where you respond accordingly, it works, and the smile on your face resembles the Grinch after he stole the roast beast!

Last night I was in the clouds above 23, had two LaLas, play rope a dope until they went away, then a 190 and a Spit were playing with me, an F4U showed up, 3:1. I had fun, they had swiss cheese planes, I landed with my shine silver bellybutton unscaved.  It works!

Mr Ed,
Your right of course. This game is the most fun I've had with my pants on in a long time.

Flying and playing chess rolled into one.

I've had the book 3 days now and read it cover to cover. Starting to re-read it now.

Going to take alot of practice and I am going to enjoy every min of it.

It would be nice if there was some kinda training area where people such as you(if you choose) could show, train new people(like me). Just like in RL pilots are trained by other pilots. It would speed up the learning curve. Then I wouldn't have to spend so much time being a target

see ya on line..er.. hopefuly NOT in yer gun site!

Then MrEd forgot the part the other night about taking on a high alttiude Buff with a Pony which is lower   after a few pass's and loosing a few tail feathers he must have remembered the chapter and broke off the attack. It was a good try though. <S>

Oh Mr.ED NEVER forgets an encounter with a 17, It is sure death if not done at high speed. He does remember running out of fuel and dead sticking in. I only fight 17s on my terms, and low fuel ain't one of my terms!

I'm flattered, but still am an AH pup me self. Heck I've gone 2 whole days without being hit. I'm getting the hang of this bird.

But like Hangtime told me the other day when I did a bonehead manuver and fell right into his sights. He was suprised I did that (or something to that effect). Well that was poor SA on my part. I went and read multiple bogie SA yet again.

If any Knight sees me up and wants to go to a private radio channel and wing, I'm always up for it. Be adivsed that I only fly Pony & voice comm like "Roger-Wilco" is needed, I cant type and fly. The Beta Arena is big enough to practice in and I'm sure any cons that wondered by would understand training was at hand. (Or would hope so).

I'm waitng for a few of my AW3 squadron buds to meet my Sunday mornings 9am EST to start up our Squaron here, we will be doing nothing but wingman practice.

Oh yeah, while I'm still babbling. I have a local Warbird Museum, that has gatherings monthly. I talk to WWII pilots, and my job brings me in contact with a few.
Find a VET, they alway will talk to you about flying.
