Toronto doesnt have any answers or solutions.  His mantra is to merely snipe at us Americans.  Its predictably tiring.

Apparently that Canadian Utopia is a bit boring.

Before I was born, my family moved from the UK to Toronto...and some moved on to Detroit. I spent many summers and other vacations in Mi. My father also lives in his Fla. home for 6 months of the year. But that's not really why I bother.

If you are seriously wondering why so many people are interested in US politics: it's because you are doing things that provoke strong responses from the global community. When things happen within US boudries, it's your business as far as I'm concerned.
OTOH when you do things on the global stage...

It's has it's ups and downs. Maybe you should go to an airport and ask some returning Canadian soldiers what their opinon is. While your at it maybe you could take time to thank them, instead of just taking a dump on their mission.:aok

"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED":lol

Actually it's going well. Thanks for asking.

Seems to me they have a working Govt. that is working out their problems as a new Govt should. Is it bloody? Yup but how many new Govt weren't?

Saddam is no longer in charge so the "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" is accurate. But hey! Don't let that get in the way of your inane rants.

sure.. it's easy to get in line and swing at Bush... he is way to tax and spend and socialist for my taste.

But....  it is just whining.   It does no good since there is no alternative.

The reason that you can never vote for a democrat is because...   they vote like democrats.

Yep... when a democrat gets in he turns into a democrat no matter what he says in the run.   He emboldens the democrat senators to bring up more and more socialist bills and more and more fruitcake "prgrams" and bans.   It is simply the way of things.

Any democrat will make things ten times worse.... democrat or republican... they all vote along party lines and... the democrat line is socialism....  the best democrat is 10 times worse than the worse republican.

but.... I have heard sandie and funked and others take their shots... I just haven't heard any alternatives.

Give me a good alternative or just admit that you are no more help to me than listening to nash.

So... funked and sandie... what do we do?   Who do I vote for?

I agree with all the conservatives that think Bush is too socialist but... he has done great things that will outlive his riegn.... imagine if kerrie had put in those supreme court justices?

So... put up or shut up.... if you got nothing.... just say so.

my disappointment with bush is becoming palpable.  But yes, all I have to do is think of the name Kerry and bush is ok again.  For a moment at least...

Whats McCain up to these days?

It's a little premature. We don't know who is running for president.

it is a big deal. you're absolutely on the mark.the thing is toronto, like it or not we are the one left standing after the cold war.we're the big dog (so to speak).do you really think we enjoy having to do police work thruout the world?answer..no. but we do know that after shedding tons of blood for our own democracy including 600,000 lives in our own civil war, that maybe with our presence Iraq can avoid their own large scale all out civil war.if we could blink our eyes and make it go back to where it was before, i'm sure most americans would do it, but we cant.simply put,we learned from vietnam one thing for sure. if you break it,fix it.yes we started this and now the only honorable thing to do is help fix it. if a majority of iraqis wanted us out,im sure more than 2 U.S. deaths per day would be occurring. thing is, were not perfect and we try too hard to be just that. before pearl harbor there was an overwhelming isolationalist attitude towards "europes war". just think how many lives would have been spared had we had the balls to back britain and france from the jump.how many years may have been cropped off the war.this is a war against islamist fascists whether you like or not. they have stated their goals.read em and dont laugh like many did at hitler's "mein kamph". also,on a side note, i believe you do have the right to criticize america's foreign policy as it affects everyone in the world. however, bear in mind if our goal was to conquer the world for our own gain i believe we would start with canada and mexico.lots of oil and i must admit canada exclusively, the very best sticky-icky.but as far as who we elect as president of our country, its our business and we will ***** about it no matter who is elected.we will also take pleasure in the sucesses and suffer the consequences of failure.enough babble.i can tackle my brother and put him in the headlock, but if try to do the same, you will be attacked.bush in my opinion is an idiot, but hes our idiot, not yours.matter of fact,if many of us agree hes such an idiot, how does he keep putting together all of these "conspiracies" that hes accused of?lol. in closing i would like to point out that i have publicly stated here that i believe my president is a good-hearted pit bull of an idiot and i have no fear of losing my job, house,or life. all
