Driving Directions:
#3 Aero Plaza New Century, KS 66031 913-397-6376
Take I-35 South (5.5 miles) from Kansas City/I-435 to the Old 56 Highway exit.
Go West on HWY 56 (1 mile past 151st exit) to 159th exit which only goes west/right (5.2 miles)
Take 159th street (.8 mile) to where it makes a 90 degree turn to the right. Do not take the right, go straight and you will see a gate/entrance (HANGAR #5) to the left. Go through the gate and the CAF Hangar is to the Southeast of the parking lot.
Note:This is the Unit I am in. Last year's Open House was really good, this one will be BETTER.
The military vehicle club/re-enactors put on a great display all by themselves.
Where else can you walk up and buy a ride in a P-51 or a B-25?
If you are close to KC, drop by. It's a good cause. This is one of the CAF units that actually gets things done. Not many units have their own 60x120 hangar built and paid for in 2 years.
The goal is to get our own hi-performance WW2 airplane based here. We have a CAF PT-19 but we're looking for heavy iron. It isn't cheap. Please help out if you can.
I think you'll enjoy this show.
Cya there!
