First...Thanks Dale and Doug...nice effort and it stirred things up a bit. I was about to close the account.

I still think you should have implemented the rolling plane set...I know, I know...you don't agree.

I don't think most of these guys deserve to fly what they want when they want....you've spoiled them Dale. A good dose of here's what ya get in the RPS would be good for them all.

Still, nice effort. It's good to know that you and Doug still love us...well, some of us anyway.

It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

Yes, heaven forbid you get to do what you enjoy in a game.  It's a war!  How dare you want to have FUN?!?!

I long since cancelled AH because the ENY thing made actually playing the game more of a nusiance than it was worth.  Adding separate arenas is a step in the right direction that I've supported for years.  I don't necessarily like the particular divisions HTC selected, but since they finally took this step perhaps in time they'll do something more to my liking.

But an RPS?  That has to be the dumbest idea in the history of MMO flightsims.  The only people who like it are a few masochistic individuals who hate fun.  Anyway, I hear WarBirds still has an RPS, with their 60-80 nightly players.

I've given that some thought, but at the very least I need to wait until I do some major PC upgrades (several months from now).  It's good to see you're still around Oldman.

Perhaps I was a bit rude to Rude in my response to him, but an RPS would have ensured that I'd never subscribe to AH again, just like it killed WarBirds for me.  AH seems like it's taking a turn for the better.

Now if only we could get some smaller arenas with closer airfields and limited base capture.

2 arenas running an opposite RPS would have been fine. 1 starts early, the other late and they converge in the middle. 350 cap on each and the arenas would have been community friendly (or at least manageable).

I hate the idea of an RPS in general but if your splitting the game into 3 or 4 period arenas something like a 2 arena RPS would have achieved something similar I think... As much as I would hate a single RPS I hated the the single 'main arena' gameplay even worse.

Folks would have whined, just like they whine now and how they whined when AH went from 1.XX to 2 but they eventually adapt after much drama.

J_A_B   get back in here NOW :)
I still haven't upgraded since last time I played and surprisingly it is flyable at an AVG of 34fps.  It isn't screamin and sometimes I get down low and take a hit in FR but I am having fun getting blown outta the sky.  Weird thing is.. I had no clue about the change in format until after I downloaded the game again.  I had just been checking the boards about once a year to 6 months or so.
I will be upgrading the PC next month but until then I shall have fun at lo-res and get killed just the same :)

Salute!
Rocket

ps I am hoping to bump into more of the guys I got killed by as time goes by I really did miss alot of my friends and enemys here.
