Anyone got any suggestions for a song I could use for a movie? More or less a organized movie about FSO not just gun cam footage ?

Might I suggest "the Imperial March" from Star Wars when rolling a 109. Just something about that song just works when you're rolling in from alt on a con.:t

I have a few choice cuts from a couple bands.

Uncle Tupelo:
- Graveyard shift
- Before I break
- Factory Belt
- Train
- Outdone
- Left in the Dark
- Nothing
- I Wanna Destroy You

Son Volt:
- Picking Up the Signal
- Driving the View
- Flow
- Straightface
- Drown

Drive By Truckers have several good albums.  Anyone who likes their rock a little southern fried should check them out.

Don't know if you are looking for WWII era music, modern, something associated with "war songs" or what kinds of music in general.  Many folks equate the 60's music from the Vietnam era with general "war".  A lot of early Heavy Metal Music fits heavy bomber missions (IMHO).  You probably want some consistency in music types for a movie.... not good to jump around too much.

A few on my iPod list (from AHBomber and AHFighter playlists no less) for use in game includes, but no where inclusive:

"The Mob Rules" by Black Sabbath
"Block Rockin' Beats" "Leave Home" and "Piku" by The Chemical Brothers
"Forsaken" by David Drainman
"Heavy Fuel" by Dire Straits
"Bodies" by Drowning Pool
"Epic" by Faith No More
"Absurd" (Whitewash edition) by Fluke
"DOA" by the Foo Fighters
"What Are You Waiting For" by Gwen Stefani
"South Side" Gwen and Moby
"Heavy Metal", "Ram It Down", "Hard As Iron", "Delivering the Goods", "The Sentinel" all by Judas Priest
"Bom Bom Bom" by Living Things
"Missing Time" by MDFMK
"Forgotten Years" Midnight Oil
"Detroit Rock City" version by Mighty Mighty Bosstones
"Space Lord" and "Powertrip" by Monster Magnet
"Head Like a Hole" and "The Hand That Feeds" by Nine Inch Nails
"Infinity" and "Millionaire" by Queens of the Stone Age
"Black Betty" by either Ram Jam, or Spiderbait
"Feuer Frei" by Ramstein
"Radar Rider" by Riggs
"Highwire" by The Rolling Stones
"Battle Without Honor Or Humanity" Tomoyasu Hotei (from Kill Bill, Vol. 1)
"Heavy Metal" by Sammy Hagar
"Heavy Metal (Takin'A Ride)" by Don Felder (movie: Heavy Metal)
"Carmina Burana: O Fortuna" from the movie "Excalibur" (as opposed to "Ride of the Valkiries" from movie "Apocalypse Now")
"Thunderstruck" by AC-DC
"To Sick To Pray" Alabama 3
"Stop The Rock"  and "Time Is Running Out"  by Apollo 440
"Takin' Care of Business"  Bachman-Turner Overdrive
"LA Woman" version by Billy Idol
"Jim Dandy" by Black Oak Arkansas
"Everybody Knows" by Concrete Blonde, or  Leonard Cohen (who also did "If It Be Your Will")
"Run Through the Jungle"  Creedence Clearwater Revival
"Right Place, Wrong Time" by Dr. John
"Ends"  Everlast
"Cars" version from Fear Factory or Gary Numan
"Sinnerman"  Felix da Housecat
"Somebody Told Me" The Killers
"Fuel"  Metallica
"Wave of Mutilation" (UK Surf Mix) by the Pixies
"Tall Cool One"  Robert Plant
"Put Your Lights On"  Santana
"Vertigo" U2
"Excess"  by Tricky
"Free Ride" by Edgar Winters (one of my favs for NOE goon runs).
"We're an American Band"  Grand Funk

If looking for instrumentals, techno, electronic or new age, look at music from Moby or Blue Man Group.

If Betty is anywhere in what you want to post, seriously consider "Queen Bee" from Grand Funk Railroad.  (I REALLY need to find a decent way to pipe that over VOX when she runs/in a mission sometime.)

Determine what kind of music you are looking to collect to narrow your search.

If you like that, you might like Fintroll. Try the 'Nattfodd' album.

It's pretty symphonic and all that, just not as gay and goth as nightwish.

:lol

I'm not a fan of the band really, they do crack me up though. Some of their folk stuff is hilarious.

They are good musicians, though.

If i were to listen to music while I flew (and I never do), I'd have to give this a play, as the 109 is my favoured aircraft:

To fill my 40GB Toshiba I used pandora.com to find music similar to what I already listen to.

This is what is on my mp3 player now which I have playing in the background when Im flying via an auxiliary wire.

Ive gotten into a lot of European metal such as the likes of Hammerfall, Dream Evil, Jag Panzer, Iron Savior, Falconer, Edguy, Evergrey, Symphorce, elegy,

But I also listen to other stuff such as 12 stones, 3 doors down, avenged sevenfold, atreyu, 30 seconds to mars, ac/dc, guns and roses, alter bridge, angel dust, audioslave, beautiful creatures, breaking benjamin, default, disturbed, dragonfoce, die trying, forty foot echo, galloglass, hibria, hinder, kid rock, linkin park, nickleback, seether, sevendust, shinedown, slaves on dope, slipknot, three days grace, theory of a deadman, tool, and trapt.
