I hear that unless you have a top notch computer that it's not even worth purchasing...I can barely run the last version, I wont ever bother with this until I upgrade my comp

Got a copy for "Work" purposes. Running a pretty buff system for todays standards - 2x Nvidia 7900 GTX's SLI'd together, Abit AN832X MB with an AMD X2 4400, 2 GIG ram and 2 300 gig HDs. Had the sliders set about mid range, was getting mid 20s for frame rates. Still tweaking with the settings, but it is a typical resource hog.

Will keep you advised.

Historically all the MS Flight Sims have been porky on release, then later patches improve performance.

The demo played quite well on my P4 2.9ghz/4gb/ATI All In Wonder 9800 Pro system.  I'm surprised Wolf's system doesnt show massively bigger numbers in regards to FPS.

Damn, I just bought the thing today, thinking my computer can handle it.  I am down loading it now.  I hope it can run ok on my computer.

I'd forgotten it was due out until I saw it on the shelf a few hours ago at Frys.  They've got a promo price on it for about $10.00 off, which is nice since I got two copies of the last version. One to run on the desktop, other on the laptop so I could track under "CFII mode".  I just use the sim to goof off with holds and approaches from time to time.

Have they added anything new and worthwhile or is it just an eye candy update?

Sounds like it might kill the laptop with bloat, so I'll wait to see more feedback from ya'll.

It took a good while to install 15 gigs. Now I have a problem with the lack of suitable addons, that do not work with FSX without a patch. Most of the best addons of course doesn't, how else.

I think the rule for this should be as follows: If you have to think about if your computer can run it, it can't.

Question. What is the difference between the Delux addition and the standered addition?

More realistically, will be without a couple of DLL's which will make any addons you want more or less useless without.

The Delux version has a few more aircraft and cities that are highly detailed. That's it. Read it on the forum at Flightsim.com
