Anyone here reload your ammo? I was starting to look into it, was wondering if anyone has any tips or good guides to look at. Mostly my 7.62x39, but also 45 ACP.

Used to years ago when I had time to shoot competitively.

Now its just plinking with surplus ammo when I get a chance.

Tip? If you need the accuracy the time and trouble of reloading can be beneficial. If you are just feeding hungry guns its just too convienient to order a case or two of each caliber you need. No muss, no fuss fun shoot ammo.

Most of my gear was RCBS. I had a Lee turret press and liked Nosler bullets in .308.

Ball powders are easier to work with than stick and flake powder.

Have plenty of space and time to work. Get sloppy and you'll pay the price.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

I do... mostly 44 and 45 mag.. been doing it for 30 years.

I use a single stage press and have brass all over the place in different states of readiness... Have a whole room dedicated to reloading.

I like the single stage stuff cause I like to handle (and inspect) the round through every stage and I like hand priming anyway.

for the russian and other military stuff I would just buy surplus ammo as long as I could still get it tho.
