I've been going to netaces.org and reading up on a lot of techniques and info. Great site!!!

In trying to learn the 38 I followed a link to some old forum posts, which then linked me to some films that I'd really like to view. Unfortunately the links are old and http://www.hispanicvista.com does not have them other than hispanic news.

Are these films "lost" now? Any new links that work?

Those specific films may be unavailable, or they may be in an old (AH1) format. To check, you can email the site administrator -- Hammer. If his email link isnt there, you could also try to reach him at Hammer@flyaceshigh.com since he is a trainer.

Another good source of P38 films is the film library of the 479th Fighter Squadron (the aces high version, not the real squadron!) Those guys ahve been around since airwarrior. and their film library has some gems too. linky

Silat and Murdr are AH trainers with simply massive P-38 stick time. Widewing can tell you a ton about flying jsut about any plane, and knows off the top of his head whether the P-38J with 50% fuel can outrun a C205 at 12K altitude, for example.......;)

Lastly, consider flying with either the 479th or the 80th FS in AH. Those guys are committed P38 fanatics, are (pretty much) all nice guys, and are enthusiastic about spreading their addiction to the twin booms.

Thanx guys (and gal).

I'm an old AW2, AW3 flyer who went into WW2OL then FA.

All I can say is this sim is such a refreshing change from FA! While there are the whining dweebs (all games have those) this sim just has the most helpful people.

Ahh, yes.  Those would be ack-acks films.  They are still on the server, but for some reason he periodically has to go back and fix his links.  Seems like that is the same story with his films listed on the 479th site also.  Will have to mention it to him.
