new puter build
« on: November 12, 2006, 09:28:27 AM »
Going to build new puter, and need some ideas on best parts to put in it.My last two builds have been AMD,but I hear Intel is back in first again.I've had nothing but good luck with AMD,so if it's close between the two,I guess AMD would be fine.
Video card wise,I've always used Nvidia, running a Aopen 7800 GT right now,and it does fine.Have been thinking about trying Radeon,so input would be nice.
I use Corsair ram,2 megs, and it has done well for me.
I've seen some 700watt PS at Newegg, and will use one of them.
Using a Abit MB right now,and it seems to be fine,no OC for me.
Price isn't really important within reason.Running a AMD 4000 right, now so need to get some ideas on best steps to take to gain longer term usability.
Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. I'm retiring soon, and thats why I need to squeeze the most out of this build
