Nice shots.  Ain't digital wunnerful?  

As in day shots, main thing in night shots is to achieve pleasing exposure and sharp image one way or another unless blur is intentional, i.e., main distraction in less successful night photography is wavy lines.

what would be the best CAM to buy for digi shots, say higher Mid-range level?

have a look at the link below, it has lots of info on digital SLR cameras in US dollars (they have a canadian page too)

I prefer CANON while others on this bbs prefer NIKON. Maybe some of them will put in their 2 cents worth here as well. They both produce excellent results. Ripsnort has a Nikon D80 and produced some really beautiful shots that he has posted.

My wife and I are getting the Pentax Digital SLR K100D for Christmas this year.  Its not the most expensive but she has finally gotten to the point where having something digital will be cheaper in the long run.  Besides she has gotten very good with her current 35mm Pentax.
