It's not the skins. With no planes around, I get 10FPS in the tower. That's IN the TOWER.

I've got a Geforce 7600GT as you can see in my signature. Before 2.09 I was limitd in FPS only by my monitor's refresh rate. I was pegged at 60fps almost all the time. I'm sure I was hitting 150 most of it.

Now I tried taking off from a38 NW, and the trees there gave me...


get this...


4 GD fps. ***4***.

No other planes in sight. This isn't the skin cache bug. The trees looked funny too. Buildings from 15k look funny. Not the way they normally do. Hard to explain.

- had other folks complaining about not being able to see an enemy CV (on fire) 1k below them, while I at 10k could see it easily.

- had 4 FPS taking off today because of trees, wingman said he had no problem with fps. Anytime I get below 3k I instantly lose all FPS, and it's killed me more than once in a fight.

This seriously needs fixing. I can't FLY in 4 FPS. So, 100+ fps average before 2.09, now I get 4. Repeat, 4.

Something is messed up with the code that governs display of all items, trees, objects, cvs, strat buildings, and so forth. Hell if I know WHAT, but it's un-playable at this point in time. I tried never going below 5k, but it's not possible, and unless you're lucky to get a fight over the sea (nothing to display) you get killed because you're in a slideshow.


P.S. The "black spit outline" is back, but on corsairs, and it's white/silver this time.

Same here. running duel 7800s and frame rate is unstable at best. Can someone explain if my monitor refreshes at 65mhz what should I set the frame rate to.... 45,60,or unlimited(which I have est it to that might be my problem.)

I also agree, My frame rate is terrible now and for some reason the ping wich was usually at 60 for all the arenas is now at a steady 90 or 89.

i am amd 3200+ w/ 6800 nvid card.. 1 gig ram and its not significantly diferent since before patch.(my board is flakey and i just recently had to take a 1 gig dimm out)
 I still get 72 fps unless over airfield and fires

Doesn't help to set refresh any higher than the max for your monitor. If the monitor can only do 65 FPS, then all the extra frames your computer is sending to it are lost -- and that means you're wasting cpu cycles that could be used more productively, and you're adding heat to your system without any benefit.

Set it to 60.

Set your monitors refresh rate as high as it will go, the higher the better.
Then enable Vsync, this will be your true FPS.

I set mine to 1280x1024 @100 refresh (21" Sony Trinitron) in the game I  normally get a rock solid 90-100 fps, however after this last patch I'm lucky to hit 50 with the screen freezing momentarily at times.

Yes... and no.

You need to find the best refresh rate that won't: 1) cause flickering and 2) burn out your monitor faster.

I had #1 happen to me when I set a CRT to 72Hz once. Also, same CRT ran only at 72Hz for a few months before acting funky. Dropping to 60Hz brought it back to life for a few more years. Your milage may vary.

Looks like i timed my Aces High hiatus perfectly ;)

Kev was right.  That WAS the problem after playing for about 5 hours.  Everything was pretty much back to normal.  

HiTech has said its already fixed for a new patch.  Chill

Been hearing a lot of complaints about screen freezes.  Especially when that person is shooting at a con.  I, myself, have not experianced this....YET.
