Consumer Electronics: Sony vs Samsung

I have a Sony KV 2080R 20 inch (1987 model) in my bedroom.  The 1st ever major repair was in year 2000 when the bulb just blew up.  Back then i decided not to buy a new set because that TV can still keep up wit hthe year 1999-2000 models

I'm lucky i got this samsung PC monitor @ my nearest Best Buy store before Black Friday started.

For Plasma, Panasonic  owns top seed for both 42" and 50".
JVC owns the top seed for LCD 40" and larger, Sharp for 37", Toshiba for 32" and 26"

Rear-projection: Toshiba takes the top seed.

The only catagory Sony takes is standard-tube High Definition TVs and , probably because there is very little market activity in a standard tube TV set.
