Watch out if you have Windows update set for automatic updates. Its currently handing out Internet Explorer 7 to the unsuspecting. You may or may not want it just yet. FYI.

IE7 SUX!!!

DO NOT download it if you have a choice, my Yahoo downloaded it automatically a few weeks back and I've had nothing but problems. Freezes constantly, crashes in mid upload, never closes without having an error pop up, causes major problems with streaming video...

Worst Update Ever!
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

auto downloaded for me too, didnt have a chance to catch it.

no problems, no crashes, no slow downloads, no freezes, no lost downloads, no issues at all that ive noticed.

of course i dont get any of those stutters, frame rate drops, or micro freezes or ctds that everyone has been talking about in AH lately either.

This is how every one of my internet sessions ends since I "updated" to IE7.

Same here, been running it for awhile.  Can't sense any huge benefit, but it works just fine.

IE 7 redused my FPS from ~75 to ~3. Seriously.

I uninstall that crap and FPS went back up again.

No problems here with IE 7.

I did choose not to use ClearType, though.  And to get ftp sites, you need to go to view->"view ftp site in windows explorer" or something like that (whereas IE 6 just displayed the ftp stuff).

Well we all know from recent experience how much people like unexpected changes in software so I figured I'd warn the unwary. IE7 has been available for awhile and it does cause problems for many. Even Microsoft advises that any updates be tried in a "test environment" before being deployed. For most people there is no test environment other than their one box.
