There's only one 7600GT card. If you can FIND it (it's out of stock most of the time) it's a damn good card. It is, however, much more expensive than the GS card. This is because there's only 1 in AGP. There are dozens in PCIe.

If you just want to stick with AGP a while longer, skychimp is selling an ATI x800 on these forums. He's throwing in a 1GB stick of PC3200 with it (and asking about $200 for the package).

If you want to go with the 7600GS, it's a decent card. The GT is a lot better. The GT ranks right up there in performance with the 7800GS (probably THE best AGP card in the world right now). The 7600GS will probably run AH just fine. The major difference between the GS/GT is the clock speeds (it does the same, it just does it a lot faster).

thanks for the info Krusty.  I will go back to either Newegg or Pricegrabber and look for the card.

Running the 7600GT here. I love it... best bang for the price range (which is why it is sold out often). Anything better you look at around 80-100 USD more, anything cheaper has a LOT less performance.

Ignoring that spamtard (check every forum, he's replying to every post with BS in every sub-forum), there is something you can do.

My old setup was AGP and DDR. I went to PCIe but kept my CPU/RAM/etc. I got a motherboard with BOTH DDR2 and DDR1, both AGP and PCIe. You can only use one type of ram at a time, and I'm sure one vid card at a time, but it allows you to keep what you have and upgrade slowly. My motherboard was only $50 on newegg.com as well.

make a life beyoond this forum friend! instead of be reborn like pig 50 times.

Alsos nobodies mentionedthat you cant just steal new vido card and expekt to make great framrate. if yuo cpu processoring is BUNK then it will bottelnecks the vidoes card and makes it rather less of point (like krustys life)
