I think it's a step in the right direction, but not a real solution.

For one thing, the limitations are quite harsh. It will have the positive effect of forcing people to flock to a singular point, thus promoting more even-sided battles, but in my view, I think there could have been other methods which could have been applied over time.

Ultimately, I think some of the concepts that HT or some other AH gamers thought unnecessary or inappropriate to AH, should be introduced. Logistics, supplies, attrition rates, road systems, etc etc.. I believe the introduction of such factors would more naturally bring the players together with more subtle and indirect tendencies dictating the outcome of the battle.

 But one can only hope.

It’s a lot like the velvet ropes at a bank…. It keeps the sheep together and moving in the direction that management wants them to go.
My password at work had to contain exactly 8 characters… I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

This topic seems a duplicate, as it is already being discussed here:

I logged in yesterday to have a look but did not have the time to play.

1. HT, can you please use another symbol for a capturable base? those big icons are ugly. How about a red frame to the base icon, or something like that?

2. Multiple threads of captures are needed. I see the point in concentrating all the attackers/defenders but it would be more interesting to have multiple conflict points. Not to many as to disperse the war though.

3. A role for CVs. I suggest making a few coastal bases always capturable. They may be used as a beach head for opening a second base capture thread. This would give CVs an important ad interesting role.

4. side ballancing - in an extreme situation where one country out numbers the other two combined, this system can be used to make the two smaller countries attack the big one, instead of the too bigger ones rolling over the smallest. Simply disable base captures on the two small countries front.
Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.
