how do you adjust mipmapping level with geforce 2 cards?

old voodoo3 had a great slider to adjust mip mapping level with so you got just the right amount of smoothing to get rid of flicker but lost no detail in the textures.

with this geforce2 mx400 64 from visiontek i have no way of adjusting mip mapping levels other than  "best performance/best quality" and both are so heavily mip mapped that it makes AH look like a van gogh painting that has been smudged up by a 2 year old.

perhaps geforce2 ultra 64ddr has mipmapping level adjustment settings? i hope

i recommend you using the 21.81 driver fester. there a mipmap adjuster that comes along with it-  its not a slider but it has 5 settings;  http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows9x

or, if your feeling brave.....here a super tweaker for geforce cards; http://www.guru3d.com/geforcetweakutility/

i'm not sure what kinda software comes with your card, but you can also check the manufacturers website for their driver specific tweak program.  they gotta have one.
