A man bought a baseball bat as a christmas gift for his overseas friend and went to post office to mail it. The postal clerk told him, that he would have to pay a double fee because the bat was 125cm long. Anything that was wider, thicker or taller than 100cm would get charged a double fee.
The man left the post office, went to another store, bought a box for the bat, came back to the post office and managed to send it with the regular fee.
How did he manage this without breaking the bat?
