8 player connect problem

Whenever I try to connect to the 8-player side, AHII freezes completely. If I wait untill the screensaver comes on and log myself back in, it has jumped to MA side selection screen for which I no longer have subscription.

At first I thought it was a firewall related hang, but then the same happened with full rights granted to AH2 exe. Alt-tab, ctrl+alt+del etc. nothing work because the AH2 splash screen is the forward screen and system screens get hidden behind it.

Is the 8-player even available anymore? I just wanted to test my new 8800GTS in action but seems like it just aint going to happen.

8 Player is alive and well.  Is it freezing when you try to login?  Normally that is the Windows TCP stack trying to connect but it cannot for whatever reason.

Yes it freezes when I try to login to the 8-player section. After some wait it dumps me to MA selection screen.
