OK, here we go....
After taking some time to think the options through and getting some insight and advice from Simaril (Thx Dave) and getting through the holidays, I am ready to proceede.
Here are some basic guidelines that I will be following in regards to training that I will be offering.
When offering training in the past I have tried to take on to much at one time and quickly burned out. This leads to an "On again, off again" thing that just doesnt work. For this reason I am going to keep the structure and timing of the training (for the most part) on a simple, basic routine. I am hopefull that this will allow my services to continue indefinitely.
Training will be offered on Saturday nights in the DA from 9-11 pm est time. I am willing to work with 2 trainees on any given week. i.e. one from 9-10pm another from 10-11pm. At this point I would like to only schedule 2 weeks at a time, just to keep it simple.
Anyone who wants to is invited to sign up and work with me. Regardless of past history. I only ask that a few things are reconized and observed.....
#1 Show up on time
#2 Check the ego at the door, I will do the same
#3 I will ask you what you want to fly, however if I dont like that plane choice I reserve the right to "Veto" it. In other words I can choose the plane if I want.
#4 I am not and do not claim to be the "Guru" of ACM. There are plenty of better pilots out there. This can be a problem when trying to help pilots who are already "Uber" All I can say here is that I will help the best I can.
#5 To elaborate on point #4...... I will not be able to help "Everyone" Its usually the "Middle of the pack" players who can gain the most. I can however offer a good eye for what people are doing and clear cut instructions on how to devolope/change those things. I am not a miracle worker. Please dont expect to much.
#6 I dont do well with brand new players. You need to have a basic grasp of the games commands and flight. Just a rule of thumb..... you need to have been in the air for at least a couple months.
#7 We will be following standard dueling practices..... co alt merge, same planes, no HO's..... high angle deflection shots after the merge are fine. Just no flat out head ons.
I guess thats about it for now. I was going to offer Simaril the first session this upcomming Saturday for helping me out. If you are free that is? So that leaves at least 3 spots open for the next few weeks. If you are interested just post here.......
Thx everyone.... Dave
