The gun seleciton for the Bf110G-2

Would it be possible for it to just say "275rpg" and "127.5rpg"? (or "127rpg")

Or, for that matter, I'm guessing the ammo amount was variable, as it was in other aircraft (like the 109F ammo count). Why not just make it the upper limit, make it 800 20mm rounds instead of 750, and make it 270 30mm rounds instead of 255? (P.S. that's an odd number, 1 gun has 1 round more than the other!)

Not that this plane needs it. I just never liked giving a range of ammo per gun. You guys coded it, you have your reasons (you chose the middle between the extremes). You're fully justified to say "this is our choice for the moment" -- I'd just like a clearer idea in the hangar of what I'm getting!

The G2 has an asymmetrical ammo load. You can test this in the offline arena. It took me seconds. The left 30mm stops firing a few rounds before the right 30mm. The opposite is true of the 20mms - the right 20mm stops firing a few rounds before the left 20mm. The ammo counter in the cockpit slows down noticeably as you come to the end of the 20mm.

Therefore when the ammo count says "120-135rpg" it does not mean "120 to 135 rounds per gun", it means "there are 120 rounds in one gun, and 135 rounds in the other". For the sake of consistency the 20mm ammo count in the hangar should say 400-350rpg.

I notice you have the same problem with the mouse cursor that I have.

I don't think that's right. That can't be right. There's no reason it would historically have asymmetrical ammo loads.

I would rather not have to put "at least, in the game" after everything I write. I am talking about the G2 in the game. I am talking about the G2 as it is rendered in Aces High. I am not talking about the real-life G2. I do not give a stuff about the real-life G2. The world does not need another tedious discussion about the minutiae of Luftwaffe cannon ammunition.

No, no, I understood what you meant. But if HTC did it that way, they'd have had to have some basis for doing it. Sorry for not typing more clearly.

I just don't think that's historical, and as such HTC shouldn't have a reason to put it in-game.
