Mic Problems
« on: January 28, 2007, 12:57:02 PM »
My mic went out about a week ago, so I bought a new mic, and yet, I still can't talk on VOX. Any suggestions?

Have you gone into your "Control Panel", "Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices", & "Speech" to test it out?  It could also be your sound card.

Ok, I know your a smart guy but I've seen this happen... check to see if the mic toggle switch is set to on.

Hope I was of some help bro :aok

If you can make a "Sound Recorder" voice recording in Windows . You'll find that in Accessories under Entertainment . Then you know the mic is working and it's a AH or you to AH problem .

LYNX taught me this yesterday , in AH type you name in the V channel . You can then test if AH vox is working , if you hear nothing when you brodcast it isn't . You can test that "offline" by typing SERVER in that V box and testing it .

Look for my posts asking for vox help , it might help you also .

I guess I should've explained more.. I already tested it, it does not work AT ALL. One person I knew came over and told me it may be the thing it plugs into. I might need to get a microphone with a USB attachment, but if anyone has anymore suggestions, please say.
