I have just come into the posession of a Supermicro Superserver 6010L.When I try to boot it it gives me a ,PXE-E61 media test failure check cables. I know this should be easy to understand,I checked every cable but still no love. Could someone steer me in the proper direction? Thanks for the help.

I don't know that particular machine, but PXE means Pre Execution Environment. Armed with the right kind of PXE device in a network environment a machine with no OS can boot from another machine on the network in simple terms. Sounds like its looking for that kind of hardware and not finding what it expects to find.

It's trying to boot off the network, and finding that there's no cable plugged into one of the ethernets (presumably, it has multiple).

This shouldn't stop it from working, as long as you have it set up to boot off some other device.  Check the boot order in the BIOS, and make sure that it's booting off something productive, and you should be able to just ignore that message.
