This technology has a major draw back. It cannot tell the difference between you preparing to lie to a direct question and you worring about the lie you think you will have to tell your boss, wife, etc...about being picked up for interrogation while you are being interrogated.
Also you can mess with the program by first thinking about the lie which will be the answer you won't give before you say something. All they will know is that part of your brain is active. Every last one of us lies in our brains as part of our fantasy world. When they can pickup and decode into a reliable media format your bioelectrical impulses which corrispond to thought, then they might have something.
But then again we all have an ongoing fantasy world such as most of us think in passing about killing someone in our fantasies. It helps resolve subconsious stress. So then the nanny state scans our brains and sends us to jail for having over the legal amount of daily fantasies about killing someone.....
U.K. scientists have found genetic markers which to them indicate the children of criminals will become criminals. But then the test subjects tended to not be in high crime group minorities but native britons.......they have had discussions since 2000 about placing those children of criminals on watch lists............If you google around for awhile some of those articles should still be available.
