Bombing Issues in Frame 2?
« on: February 10, 2007, 11:17:33 AM »
I was assigned to a buff (JU88) this past frame, and was extremely surprised at what happened affter I pickled eggs for two A17 FHs.

My bombs never hit the ground...or if they did, i have no idea where they hit.  I made two passes, calibrated the exact same way i do all the time in the MA and in past FSO frames...but my bombs never hit the ground, and def didnt hit anywhere near their target.

This cost my side 2 FHs, prolly more since I would have had diff targets on second pass.  (not complaining, just trying to figure out what happened)

Maybe someone has film that could help figure this out?

Did anyone else experience this problem?

(I know for a fact i was spot on calibration wise b/c i confirmed with E6B readouts...and I very very rarely miss at all any other time i am Buffin.)

Any ideas guys?

Must have been a graphics issue on your end.  Your bombs hit.

ok let mean try and explain.

You create such a powerful vacuum around yourself, that your bombs missed.

Doobs, you're not helping lmao

It's possible to hit a hanger, do damage and Not destroy it.  You will only get an object destroyed message if you take the thing down.

Don't over complicate it, nothing is seriously messed up, you just missed is all.

ROC did you not read "somethins not right I can't explain it"

so it obviously can't be on Caspers end of it

so I figure the bomb fuses were faulty or vacuum/suckage theory:noid

You owe me for a new keyboard now matey!  This one is seriously soaked.:rofl :rofl
I get really really tired of selective realism disguised as a desire to make bombers easier to kill.

Seriously Casper,

While you guys were overhead the target, I was on the ground trying to run to the friendly field.  I heard you on range trying to figure out where your ordnance went.  Two bombs dropped so short, I thought I was gonna get killed.  Could have been some of yours?
