what was last new plane added to AH2?

as i remember correct last new airplane  add to AH  list was B-24J and Ki-84 in 2004?
im right or i miss something?
im not talking about 5th version of P-38, P-47 , spit, 109,F4u or  upgrading existing model
just brand new type introduced to AH

I remember it came out after the 24 and iirc there were others. The B-17 was upgraded for one and once upon a time htc said they wanted to upgrade the current planeset before adding more. I'd vote for more planes instead.

Interesting, i cant find any other new airplane add to AH2.

Before that we got  B5N2, Ju-87D Stuka, and Me-163 in December  of 2002 for AH1

In July 2002 we got P-40B, P-40E, D3A1, SBD-5, Boston III, A-20G, A6M2, F4F-4, FM2

In  March of 2002 we got Spitfire I, Hurricane I, Bf 109E-4, Bf 110C-4, Bf 110G-2, and Ki-67

In October of 2001 Me-262, Hurricane IIC, Hurricane IID, F4U-1, F4U-4, and Mosquito Mk VI

In May of 2001- Il-2, Ki-61, P-47D-11

March of 2001 bring us P-51B, Fw 190F-8, Fw 190D-9, Yak-9T, Ta 152H-1, Arado 234B-2, Tempest V, and La-7

Dec of 2000  - TBM-3, F6F-5, Seafire IIC

Sept of 2000 - Ju 88A-4, Lancaster Mk III

June of 2000, Yak-9U, A6M5b, Fw 190A-5

April of 2000, Typhoon and C202

all in the past year IIRC

now some are "variants" of other planes, but know this, the same ammount of work in designing the FM of those planes is just as much as any "new" plane.


yes there are some "new" planes not in the set list that may be suitable for AH, but the money invested in getting detailed information on their actual desing, and FM has got to be huge.

one can not simply make a 3d model from scratch on what they "think" looks right, and make an FM based on a few numbers posted in the aircraft forums.

of course i appreciate lastest updates
but
digging  for  data of "new" planes cannot be harder then on "variants"

variants are easier to make due same or similar existing templates
so after minor changes it should be easier to introduce them to AH
is that not what we get?
also impact of this updates is much weaker for gameplay then introduction of new model of airplane, special after splitting arenas to 3 time periods

I wish i could see more new airplanes instead of new trees for 3 types of tanks we have for ground war

Actually Slash, Ramzey listed that in the post that starts the thread.

And Mustaine, how would researching the FM consume alotta money??? There's plenty of good, free Data on almost any aircraft that ever flew...It would really be a matter of deciding which to use.
