No idea, but Mustaine managed to get himself PNG'ed for a hilarious and kind of sad rant in the O'Club. It's like he's got Internet Tourette's or something.

I think the term heaters could apply to firearms during the 20' and 30's, might have only been pistols (as in carrying heat) or machine guns, but not 100% sure
