Sounds cause things to freeze up
« on: September 25, 2000, 06:04:00 AM »
I'm running AH 1.042 now under win2k with
64Mb RAM. When a new sound is required
(e.g. flaps being lowered) the video locks
up for a couple of seconds. Is it just Win 2k being a resource hog and my system running out of memory (another 64Mb should arrive today)?

It was a pain first time online yesterday
as I lowered my flaps for a landing and had
the video lock up for 2 seconds. When it came
back I was in the process of crashing :-(

By the way - if Mark AT reads this - sorry
about the gunning - I got disconnected.

win2k needs about 128mb memeory to work properly if im not wrong.
Do u have a opertunity to buy or try the system with more memory ?
im using a twin configured system with millenium and win200, and was told to ugrade to 256mb memory to really get the win2000 working streamlined.
LOL i hate this system reqs they getting worse and worse.
