I was thinking adding grenades and landmines would be a great addition to what the jeep already has. I'm sure landmines have been wondered at before but I don't think grenades have.

What are grenades going to do? You will never get close enough to an emy aircraft to use them. And unlike hollywood they will not do anything to a tank. The landmine idea might work..but since GVs attack in small numbers most of the time the chances of getting a kill with one are somewhat low.

grenades would work on light armour like the M16 and flaks. with a few .50 cal jeeps and grenades :)

You might pop an M16s tire..but that is about all. A flak is armored and unless you tossed one right inside it's turret forget about it. Even so how would something like that be added? This is a flight sim. Not a first person shooter.

Add the General Patton version.  Old George standing up in the passenger seat with shiny steel helmet and firing away at passing planes with his ivory handled .45's.

First off, Ht plans on makeing a 3d shooter for people invading the map rooms. "or so i read someplace in a older interview"
to a point where someday we will see people rushing the base's or bailing from planes "c47s" to capture a base.
being fought by a buncha run'an'gun people who dont like to fly or drive poorly modeld tanks.
but hey, time will show you this.
oh yeah.
What you didnt think someone camping the map room with a panzer or a .45 was going to rule out how this game will be played forver or in two years did you?
but when such time come's, and it is coming quickly..its not to say a persons skills wont come into play, imagine 3 hard core soldiers on the ground stoping 10 "humans" from shooting, grenading & bazooking the map room to get it.

I am assuming like most bunkers, the map room will be multi level, going down further,corridoors..should make for a realy nice blood bath.
on the other hand, imagine what it will be like to sit by a town, and fire bazooka's of panzerfaust at some jock itch "so & so" who is making it HIS 2 and a half hour mission in life making sure noone takes the town.

This is a war simulator, we have ships tanks & planes.
It is only faulty logic that would depict we CANNOT have soldiers or jeeps with more guns because the game's name is ACES HIGH.
Right now* we will never see troops scrambling off a lvt to assault a base, we will never see hundreds of soldier runing thru a jungle or forest or desert to capture a fule depot, or some enemy location.
you never have to worry about someone fireing a bazooka from a tree line.
you never have to worry about a troop runing up with a sticky bomb and tracking your panzer.

you dont have to worry because it is not possible, yet.
But imagine stoping at a forest line, and woundering just how many troops are laying in ambush, wait till you defend a tank town with soldier supporting the oncomeing tanks.
IMAGINE it, for ONCE tanks had the option of haveing 10-15 troops on foot to follow them into battle. "like a formation option, but with troops vs. more tanks!!"

how cool would that be?

Sickning to see such a game limited because someone else thinks this game is all about flight.
than again, we have great bullet drop, cant wait to see a sniper take your tank commanders head off.
or a tank round slaming into a jeep only to watch the wheels blow off,and corp's/meat chunky fly everywhere.

I cant wait to straff soldier's trying to murder my people and like wise.
i cant wait to point into the air and rip 20 .45 rounds from a tommy into the belly of a 109.
and i cant wait to BE that 109, preping for a turn to come back and mow them all down.

***"What you dont think Ht added troop movement
"straff" "run" and a aim-able pistol just so you could take pot shots at airplanes DID YOU!?***
To da future!..to da future!
Bigest problem with troops right now,is no reload.
once that is put into place,ya'll better watch your backs, because aces high will be turned up side down.
HTC is a company in it to make a great product, if that is a "room" or "area" where people* can duke it out with guns and such,so be it.
you will still have your plane, your fields..your tanks.
The only thing that will change is how you play, and how you use your brain to kill others.

**What if a c-47 drops 10 Ai troops, once the Ai troops get there, another room opens up,where people can log on "or join" then take part in the actual capturing of the map room .ect**

Dont hold a limit.

Anyhow, thats my views and opinions right wrong or indiffrent.
All i would like* is the option for tanks to have troops as support, Ai or true players. ither way.

Think about it,what if we had a server where people could join & wait.
While they wait, they could goto the ready room,ir talk or take target practice.
or run around the base, take a drive .ect.

Then "missions" would pop up, the players join, and when they are droped out, it moves* them over to one of the MA arena's,next thing they know they are being spat out of a c-47 over enemy territory.
DO NOT,say it is not possible because we did this kinda crap in quake1 mods IN DOS.
..was like the first multi server host capable of doing multiple things with just a few console commands.

-client-----log on server "kinda"---- then the main servers each has its own levels/enemys .ect

Client-->log on  >-----server1>-----server2>-----server3 .ect

So you would join the "log in/on" server, and just chat.
once you apply to be "ready" the server would get your ip,and "connect 23.456.89.2:1234" and bam, youd be on the other server loading the next level and preparing to play.
I imagine it could be much like this,but..because we have multiple arenas,it would be much harder. "i think?"
I only know what i have seen and done in the past, and what is possible in our future.
and that was all on dial up! "shotgun modems" if you were lucky.

I have to say that you must be incredibly new. Otherwise you would know that Hitech himself shouted out saying, "THIS IS NOT A WAR/COMABT SIMULATOR, It's a Flight Simulator!"
