Thanks for the update Pyro!

I hope there's gonna be at least one new airframe in the new version. It has been about 2,5 years since new planes were introduced the last time.

At this point any new kite will do! :)

Updating the old 3D-models can take the wait for one new aircraft!

I wish I had better news for you on that Wmaker but I'm afraid we don't have a new kite for this release.  Unfortunately, the terrain work has just taken a lot longer than we anticipated and even then, we were only looking at another updated airframe to fit the schedule.

The good news is that we do agree with you that a new airframe is overdue and we were discussing that at our meeting this morning.  After this release that will be Waffle's next task while the rest of us put our collective efforts towards CT.  We decided that we'd let the subscribers pick the next plane so I've been thinking of some various ways to have a run-off poll on what that should be.  I'll be making a post on that in the near future.  Now would be a good time to get your Brewster lobby mobilized.:)

That should be easy enough to pull off.

Forum Post with Plane Request, followed by a poll with the top 10 Most Requested.

It won't be a forum vote, it'll be online in-game.  It'll be some sort of a run-off so that it doesn't come down to some small plurality.  I just haven't thought about that enough.

Very interesting info, Pyro! Thanks for letting us in on the process.

Quick question, though: Are you going to give priority to certain groups of planes? For example, update all the old "Generation 1" models that still have 256 default textures? Or perhaps give priority to those that might be in the next tour, (example: you expand first CT to include RAF, so you'd want mossies, typhies, whatever)?

Or will it be totally random?

Pyro, I missed that completely, there are Far more players online and In Game than frequent these boards.

I gracefully stand corrected.

Thanks for the info Pyro!

Ahh...well, no aircraft on the next release but it's great to hear that the drought is finally coming to an end! And personally I agree with updating the terrain, been waiting for the updated textures.

The Brewster lobby WILL be ready! ;)

Pyro, thanks for the info, I'll try to create a lobby for italian planes! :D Lost cause, I know, but I have to try! ;)

A question for you: what will the hardware requirements be for the new version? Will it require a more powerful system, compared with 2.09?

BTW the creenshots look great!

One small request on the new rides though.
When its put to a vote.
Can we limit the choices to rides not currently in the game rather then another varients of already existing rides?
