<< Recruiting >>

This is your first step to joining the 79th Fighter Group !

Read our brief description and if you like what you see. Then click on our website below.

We are a Aces High II Squadron representing semi-historically 79th FG. Yes we fly as Bishops in Aces High II.

We fly P-47 as our host fighter. But we do regularly mix up the fighter combination. Yes we also do bombing, Special Carrier operations & vehicle operations.

We fly in the Main Arena & eXtreme Air Racing presently. Some of our pilots are generally on through out the week. In the near future we would like to do other special events such as: Close Escort, Scenarios & King of the Hill.

We are looking for ( 4-8 ) add on pilots for a good base squadron. Teamwork is always a plus at Squadron Nights. Ever thought about being in command? But don't really want to start a squadron.

We offer not your usually people just giving orders. The 79th FG realizes that you pay to play on Aces High II just like we do.

So here is your chance to take a leadership role and learn how to take command of a squadron / group. We work with our members, so they can take on the command role. And be included in the command rotation of the 79th FG on Squad. Nights.

So give us a try! Quick & simple to sign up !

Have you considered flying in the FSO and HARMS?  Both provide excellent historical match ups and are squad oriented.

Hey! Odee Yes I have thought about doing FSO. I would like to maybe do this in the near future. Maybe even Close Escort too.

Now the HARMS ? Iam not sure what that is. Unless you mean the big squadron senerios. I was looking at doing that down the road. Using the FSO as a building block for them. Then join up in one of those weekend senerios.

I am trying to get a base of squadron members that show up regularly to events. I guess be fairly descent about showing up to Squad. Nights and FSO, etc.

I do realize people have outside activities too. But we could communicate and come up with a solution or swap players around. Doing different stuff makes the game more interesting.

I do regularly let people know what's coming up with e-mail. I even have a calender events on the website. If you are interested in the 79th FG. Come fly with us on squad. night. and join up. I am always on our squad. radio V179 when flying in the main arena.

Heya GhostG.  Thanks for the come back and info on where the 79th is heading.  Always good to see folks that have a realistic handle on the game and RL commitments. :aok

HARMS:  The last two I was on were held in the Main arenas.  They are Joint Squad Operations lasting about 60 to 90 minutes and comprised of Buffs Squads with Fighter Squads Escorting.  Very well handled, imho&e, with comms in game Vox and on TS by Squadron.  The TS thing is especially neat when you use the "Whisper" feature to hot swap channels for emergency alerts and 6 calls.

FSO is more my cuppa, since it is in the historcal SEA, with excellent match ups so far.  FSO is Aces High's answer to Warbirds S3 (Squad Select Series) of historical match ups that run over a period of 3 to 5 weeks.  These scenarios include planes and loadout availability loss by attrition from previous missions, and are the one life per flight variety.  Really keeps you on your toes.

Cheers and good hunting.

I am presently working on Joint  Squadron Operations with other squadrons in the Bishop sides. We could be involved in such missions: As fighter / bomber attack missions or Counter attack missions on the enemy.

Later - GGhost
