I've been noticing that everytime I land a Zeke, F4F, F6F, FM2 no arrestor hook comes out I take my gear out and press shift g, the green light turns on but no hook comes out, I land on the CV but i just crash on the water because no hook comes out. Is this is bug or something because on the Corsair series the hook does come out.

All of those planes you mentioned are old models. They do not have the arrestor hook physically modeled. If the green "hook" light is on then the game recognizes that the hook is out and the arresting wires should stop you.

If the hook light is on and you're still going off the bow, then you must be missing the wires.

The hook on the Corsair is shown because it was recently remodeled to the new standards.
