new patch coming before new plane?

I was wondering as we have been waiting this long for the sherman, the new terrain and the new SKIN PACK will it be coming soon or do we have to wait for this new aircraft to be built too?

 I'd like to see something before the new plane arrives,maybe the terrain first?to iorn out any bugs.then the tank and new skins then finaly the new plane.
  I would have thought that adding them all togeather in one go might cause a  problem if there are any bugs?.
    Would adding them one at a time over a few days or a couple of weeks speed up any bug finding and also keep our attention and draw us back to the arenas.
  I know we been waiting along time and now we are going to get some new toys to play with but a litle and oftern is better then opening the toy box all at once.

This is a very good question Ive thought about it to.  My squaddie was thinking that after the voting is over they would tell us what plane won and give out the next patch.

The patch with the Firefly and terrain will come out well before the one with the B-25 or P-39. I don't know how long it takes HTC to research and code a new plane, but even after all that's done it would take one of the skinner team a month or so to skin it.

The Sherman's got a lot of work arleady done (going by screenshots) and there's rumor that they're reworking a certain plane (upgrading an old one). The winner of the vote, whatever it is, hasn't even begun planning phases. I'm guessing (speculating, if you will) that we'll get a patch or two before the "vote winner" is ready for release.

.... which would probably mean we'd not be able to see Combat Tour within this year... patch in maybe a month or two, then the new planes for another few months... and voila, 2008.

 Maybe we'll actually get to see CT beta in next year or sumthin'.

In fact, all of the planes on the original list were completed well before HTC started the voting process - how do you think he determined what planes to put on the list?
The vote is just to determine the order in which they will be released to us.  
The plan is now to release one new a/c with the beginning of each tour.

We're in the process of wrapping up version 2.10 and will have it released shortly.  It is mainly the terrain changes and the Firefly.  The plane that wins the vote will added in 2.11.

I agree.   All of the WHINING that a select few have done, will be hilarious and pathetic to look back on.
