between the DARK ground and the BRIGHT sky is TOO MUCH!!!!

I've tried with 1.0 gamma all the way to 1.8 gamma.

It gives me a headache no matter where I set the gamma.

If this is how Aces High is going to remain I have NO CHOICE.  I will have to quite.

I will not fly if it gives me a headache.

If I can't fly then there is no longer a reason to pay for access/support HTC and Aces High.

You will have lost a LONG time customer due to the color contrast choosen.

:( :( :( :cry

I think this is way more an issue with tweaking.

Guys you probably logged 100000000  hours over the last what 5 years? with the old terrain and contrast, gamma settings.   You were used to how it was and you need to adapt!!!!

Personally I havent downloaded it yet and i'm itching to get home ASAP but i'm sure HTC wouldnt release something where you cannot adjust either

1)  the gamma settings on your card
2) the level of contrast on your monitor
3)  any in game settings to your liking

I bet it will look so sweet 22" widescreen, hir res pack,  1680 x 1050 !

Bring it on

No, it's not that "we're used to it."  I've played many simulators over the years, and this is by far the worst color scheme I've seen in one.  It needs to be made more like the previous version.

Bruv is correct. I adjusted gamma to about 1.3 and my Viewsonic Monitor Bright to 3x and the game looks very clear. At default settings it was 'way too dark.

Tweaking it is possible.

You could be correct.

However I tried adjusting my monitor brightness, contrast etc..............

no help............

Tried setting gamma in AH..............

no help............

For me it's the CONTRAST between the sky and the ground that is creating the problem.

The going back and forth between the darkness and brightness.

Otherwise the actual patch is GREAT IMHO.

Jeez don't be so dramatic.  Drama queen.

It is the first patch since they brought the new terrain out, of course it isn't going to be perfect.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

Husky01 what is your problem?

A little note for your use.

IF a business, any business, finds itself in a situation that COULD result in the LOSS of customers, especially long time customers, because of something like the contrasting colors they have chosen, I would think they would want input!

Driving away customers does NOT a business create!

Further I will post as much as I want about this issue, if you don't want to read about it ignore my post.

I NOW get a headache from AH.  I did not before.

I very greatly enjoy AH and have been a customer for a LONG time.  I am trying to remain a customer.  If that requires 50 post on the subject expect 50 post!

If I adjust to get the ground light enough to see terrain edges, the sky is super bright.  Played a couple hours and the eyes were straining.

The ground is way to dark even with the sun at high noon.
