4/26 Bomber Raid Mission

Mission will start 9:15PM EST/ 8:15 CST be in the arena by 9Pm EST to get all the info.


Only rules are:

LW pilots MUST stay in the blue "box" untill bombers are sited inside it then they can go anywhere they want
Bombers Alt is between 20-25k
All Fighter Alts are no more then 30k.
P51-D job is to escort the bombers don't chase the LW fighters to the deck stick with the bombers.


I know Iv asked CMs for some changes already, but when we used to run these missions we would only have darbar no dots. If I'm asking to much its ok but it would feel more realistic like that.


Hope we can get some squads in and get those 'ol TNM numbers of 50+ people. I will need three C/Os one for bombers, allied fighters, and LW fighters. Just say if you want to be a C/O fisrt one to say will be it. If it comes down to it I'll be the LW C/O, but I liek ti better if someone else runs as the C/Os. The two allied C/Os will pick the target when they launch and will not tell the LW fliers. If you can please don't slit the raid up so we can have one big raid. You can have a few of fighters flying ahead to scout. We will need the numbers to be even, 50% LW 50% U.S. Also would like to see 30% of the allied in bombers. DOn't want 20 fighters escorting 3 sets of bombers.



If next weeks setup allows it LW will be the bait errrm I mean bombers. And we can swich off every week if this works out. :aok

The radar range is set low, so it should not detect anyone unless they fly close to an axis base...  Also the radar update time has been increased form 5 seconds to every 20 seconds.

Ok that sounds good. I just didn't want to see the raid up from england and watch them to see which target they are ganna hit.

I just flew the mission in B17s and looks like they will have to take 75% fuel to make it back to England but I don't thing they will fly all the way back. So 50% might get them there and to a field in France. I havent flew it in the P51 yet but I'm thinking they will have to take 100% plus DTs. I still need C/Os for the mission if one of you want to sign up for that.

New patch, arena reset, I reloaded the settings and I hope everything's ok now. Maybe one of the staff members will check it before the mission starts.

Just checked, some of the bases needed to be reset (it's this old BoB04 map).  I think everything else works OK, except that the strat targets of the mission are shown as Bishop (the neutral country which can't fly).  Bombing them shouldn't make any difference, but the Axis players may find it unnerving to see red strat targets around their bases.
