Time for a couple more.

I've been taking the time to go head-on with Buffs a little bit more lately, especially B-24s and I thought I'd put up a couple of screenies of said action.

Gets great results a lot of the time for a low ammo cost.

Motherland, I really love those 109F screenshots. Not only are they nice by themselves, but I love getting in nice and close (it rarely happens so it's a treat!) with a 109!

Hehe yes... a true Erich Hartmann shot... He was a bit more that 'filling my windscreen' that time though :p

From a different angle, you can actually see the muzzle flash of my 20mm licking the rudder of the Spit :lol

I had far overestimated the spits E state and underestimated mine... I actually was at about 10k, dived to 5k or so to come up under him, and by that time I was at like 300 IAS... HE was looping to catch a friendly, and was going about 150 IIRC... by the time I got my gunsite on him, I was so caught up in shooting him I still had my throttle open (lawl) and was closing FAST... I put my gunsite right on him and just blazed. I'm really surprised I only got his horizontal stabilizers.

Nice skin BTW. Marseille is one of my personnal heroes.

Ha! The holes came from ack. I had chased a pony (musta been out of WEP) to an enemy CV... I think he was dissapointed to find that the cruiser and destroyers were down and only one autoack was left on the cv :rofl He broke to catch me in the ack and I actually got hit 2-3 times... needless to say though, I got him after he broke... well, actually he augered. After that I decided to RTB and ran into the Spit and the Yak.

Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Good little sequence tonight, couple snaps from it.

Closed in on a Spit XVI and took my shot, which surprisingly took him a while to die from...

Pulled up and firewalled it, looked back to see two Spit VIIIs climbing up behind me at D400 and D600, both firing.

This was a good demonstration of the 109's straight-up power ability, I put it into a vertical climb and engaged WEP... dropped flaps right and the top and came back down (after one spit had removed my aileron)

Hard on the rudder to pull this shot... it's a shame that the film viewer doesn't show control surface deviation because when I pulled this shot I was in verticle side-slip.

Shot hit home... two spits down in 10 seconds.
