No bubble to burst RTR... I just beleieve there is more to that photo than 'instantly' saying: Photoshop, as I have seen it before and not on some funny pic web-site.

It is a photoshop of an Air Canada 747 and the bomb test which took place on an old 747.

Typical, instead of laughing at the pic of the 747 everyone has to prove wether it was real or not, instead of just laughing at the pic itself.

Well, might as well take a photo of the airplane hitting the world trade centers...

Some things folks just don't laugh at, especially if it makes them think "how many people died if that photo is real?"

when you say bomb test....hmmm...lol....hahaha. .. they just wanted to blow something up. what the hell would you need to test about detonating a bomb on an airliner thats in flight? even a cherry bomb in the right place would bring her down.


"Er yes boss, we think that detonating half a tonne of fert in the cargo bay of a 747 would..... should be top of our to do list, ya know, just to see what it looks like and that."

The test was done on a stationary plane, that's where the photochop comes into play, Bat. They took that and put parts of it on a different photo showing the other plane in flight.

IIRC it was done by the British to test new cargo compartments and their ability to withstand bomb blasts.  They are (or were) working on a design which would restrict bombs to the extent that the damage would not be critical.

If it is the same test that i am thinking of, there are actually three bombs in three different cargo holds which are exploding.

I may be wrong and it is a completely different test.

Seemed like the footage only had 1 bomb going off near the rear hatch. The entire tail section after this point collapsed to the ground (hope that helps)

I dont think it is the same test.  This one appears to be just to test the effect of a bomb on an aircraft.

But the one i have seen, two of the compartments worked very well ;)
