Attack Drones for undefended bases
« on: May 01, 2007, 03:38:35 PM »
I would like to see attack drones, Aircraft and GV..so all the whiners about undefended bases and Strat sites(milk runners) have something else to whine about.  Have them scramble when in vacinity of the Dar range, make it a challenge to gain perks for a change.  Then we can see if they really earn their scores....

Wouldn't that put your "elite" milk running squadron out of business?

Gee.... all that would take would be to incorporate a whole set of code for the AI's to run the drones.

Shouldn't take but a fortnight.  Maybe 2 weeks.

My crystal ball indicates that the initial posters request shall not come to pass.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

I think that system would bring about a whole new wave of score padders.  People would roll in, take out the drones, RTB..rinse, wash, repeat.  In that case, just make it so they don't get points for those kills.

If I remember correctly AirWarrior had drones that did something like that.  Just aircraft drowns  no GV's .  Combat Tour will need to try out some of that code some place, right, why not in an arena.  I think the idea has merit.

Hitech or Pyro already mentioned that they are upgrading the drones for CT. So don't bother talking about them perhaps adding them. They will.
