You should be able to fly in supplies to the cv... you should be able to drop supplies on the deck with a c47 to repair the cv i dont mean land but drop them on the landing deck, i mean if it is un-realistically easy to destroy a cv they should make it realistically fixable

Yes, the CV should be realistically repairable. If it takes any damage, it should be sailed to a port facility and laid up in drydock for the days/weeks/months that it will take to get her back in shape for warfighting.

The CV does have a damage control party on board that starts to do repairs as soon as the ship takes damage.  Left alone the CV will repair it's self back to 100% damage free, however, it does take a very long time.

It would be nice if perhaps there was a supply group that tagged along with the CV to provide resupply of repair material.  That the Support groups had Distroyers for anti air and anti ship and supply ships  that moved into range of the CV group when the carrier was damaged and not under attack for repairs.  Durring the resupply operations no air ops could take place and ships speed would be 8 knots.

As far as I know, C47's did not drop supplies onto cv's during World War 2, that is just plain arcade if you ask me. It is in fact correct that CV's repair themselves, though I does take a very long time.

As long as CV's are used as they are, they will continue to get sunk.

Been brought up many times.  They operate too close to shore.  They operate in range of enemy bases with ord up and shore batteries unmolested.  They operate with no high, mid, or low CAP.  They have no picket destroyers or patrols for early warning.  They operate off an enemy base with no one minding the helm (too busy vulching).  There are supposedly some blue plane/CV based squads out there, but I rarely see CV's used as anything but springboards for base vulching.

Me?  I like sinking CV's with flights of Ki-67's.  It's usually pretty easy.

Bring back a LW arena with big maps, add a second CV to TG, and remove the arena cap.  You *might* see TG's last a bit longer under those conditions, but I doubt it.
