What's the excuse for all the older guys who auger heavy La7s into radar, or suicide divebomb B24s into an FH while leaving 3 others up, or up nothing but 51s and make laughable passes and extend to 6k only to do it again, and call it dogfighting? Firing from 1k out, knowing no ACM but 'HO, extend, HO again', and being laughably timid are also honorable mentions.
Reasons can include: Wife Ack, Kid Ack, Cat running along keyboard, Earl down in shipping called and is distracting you with work at your desk, vision not what it once was back during the Great War, male-enhancement drug of choice just kicked in, joystick is broke and trying to fly with mouse (too cheap/lazy/broke to replace joystick), just looking to PO other folks as a greifer....... Plenty of reasons.
It's funny, I've noticed that generally, the teenagers have the most passion for learning how to properly dominate the skies, whereas if an older guy stinks he's usually satisfied with it.
Apparently you haven't been noticing these impassioned players on the weekends in the Help Channel: "how do i fly" "how i take off" "what fastest/bestest plane" or the players that beg to gun for others, then promptly kill-shoot at friendlies or fire off all their ammo at cons over 5K out.
