Yes. My wife at the time always liked going out for a weekend drive and we covered just about everything there is to cover up there. Thats another nice area but I've really only driven through a couple of times.

We'd always drive up to the north end of the lake, rent a boat from Dockside Marina and go tooling around the lake. Can't remember the name of the Marina on the west side just south of the islands but that was always a great place to stop for a cocktail or two and maybe a burger and catch the inevitable weekend blue band playing on the deck.

I also liked to go to Zwicklebauers Hoffrauhouse (sp) on Warner Lake in the Heldebergs (25 minute drive from home). Great German food and they had a deal where you could buy an ice bucket with 4 Becks in it... perfect for an afternoon lounging in the sun on the deck.

BTW, I said White Mountains of Vermont in my first post... my mistake... White Mountains are in New Hampshire, Green Mountains are in Vermont. Both are nice.

Grew up in Niskayuna, can almost through a rock to Saratoga. Moved to MA after getting out of the service. Wasn't any work back home.
