what's so offensive about my in-game handle, "JockItch", that I'm being forced to change it? Every comment I've received regarding my choice of name has been positive, it's funny not offensive.

whatever, I'm sure there's nothing I can do about it, this is just ridiculous. I've had that handle for over a year and NOW it's inappropriate?

it wouldn't have phased me one bit if that name had been flagged when I first started using it, over a year ago. I'm just bothered by that fact that it seemed alright back then but now it's "inappropriate". would "pneumonia" be inappropriate? "cancer"? "JockItch" isn't R rated or vulgar, I'm confused...

I had a really nice BBS signature that I had worked up over the years and was really proud of it. Had it for a while. Then all of a sudden it got edited by a mod, totally deleted it with no warning of anykind.

Pick a new one and move on.

not quite the same. nobody knows you in game by your bb sig. prolly only 10% of AHers even read this board anyway. however, what little of a reptutation I may have in game is tied to that name. it's like I'd be starting all over again. not the same at all.

I kinda see the connection, but that post refers to a name that sounds like a vulgar word, most likely intentionally. "JockItch" isn't a vulgarity, no more so than "sunburn" would be.

Wasn't supposed to be a direct comparison. I was just as proud of that sig as you are of your ingame ID. My point was to butch up, be a man, get over it, pick a new one and move on. But, if you want to continue to whine like a little girl, don't let me stop you.
