fly the 202 :aok makes you saddle up for a shot...its fun doing that.  guns on it arent so bad if you saddle up at 200 and wait for your shot.
Karma, it follows you every where you go...

I was flying the C205 a tour or two ago. Was landing lot of kills left and right. Then next thing I couldn't up with out dieing.

Was a nice plane but I agree with the "keep it fast" idea. However I have seen a pilot or two , do very well in it at slow speeds and turning in the 205.

( I liked the 205 over the 202)

C205 is nice, and C202 is nice. The guns really make a difference though.

Most I've ever landed in 1 sortie with a 202: 12

Most I've ever landed in 1 sortie with a 205: 16

The 20mms really let you get kills, even if they're weaker than Hispanos.

If you're used to spit1s or hurri1s then the 202 will be a joy. If you're used to cannons only, you may find the 205 a bit more to your liking. Either way, welcome to the brotherhood of Macchi lovers!

P.S. I'm currently trying to convince my squaddie (Odee) that the C.205 is a great plane. :noid

i rarely fly the Macchi 205.  I'm not sure why i don't fly it,  because when i see a red 205, i definately give it respect...  i suspect that maybe some of the crafty ones are flying this one.   im gonna give it a shot tonight.

C205 Rocks. Seems to be getting more popular.  Best thing I learned about it was to burn the wing tanks off first.  They burn of very quick and she handles very well.

Uh-oh...

I, er, um, uh, retract my previous comments. The C.205 sucks in every way. Just go fly a spitfire or a 190, folks! Nothing to see here, move along!

C.205s are yummie... With a little seasoning and meatballs.

High speed handling is exceptional... Low speed handling is among the worst in the plane set.

For the C.205, speed is truly life. Try the C.202 as Stang states, it's more fun and can actually turn fight (up to a point).

Just to complete Jerkins data, the 205 could carry 2 160 kg bombs or 2 100 liters drop tanks.

Italian planes rock! Next time vote for the G.55! :)

Where's Gatt when you need him? I need Gatt to use his extensive knowledge and library on Macchi planes to research how often and how common the DTs were on the C202/205. If they were somewhat common (read: if they were not rare) then there's no reason HTC should leave them out of the game!

Eh, Gatt's playing really few, he was brought by 4° Stormo guys to Target Tobruk... you can leave a message for him on their BBS.

Anyway, Krusty, I think they were not common and that's why HT didn't model it.

And, btw.... it's not silver it's white! :D

HT didn't do a lot of things... The C2s are "Generation 1" aircraft. They could stand many updates (including DTs!)

It's BMF! Silver!!
