Found a single picture I could go off of, in the most interesting place.  Still need some dirt and a few more wear and tears, but its about 98% done.

Red gear struts signified C3 fuel, which would seem to indicate the performance was close to that of our K-4 (maybe).

Those colors look a tad too... bright to me. Need to be dulled/darkened a bit IMHO.

My gripe is the uniformity of the "nur heir betretten" areas (the walk areas). It's perfect, and stops perfectly at the lines, no less. I think it would look more like some of Kev's spitfires (but not so worn off), where it's heaviest around the root where people stand most, then less so out on the edge.

The traffic area would extend forward of the cockpit, though, because ground crew stood on the wings hugging the fuselage and leaning forward to service the engine quite often.

Darn Krusty got his point in before I did. Way to sharp fencer, I just dont think it would look like that in RL. No offence. Another great skin BTW and thats the only gripe Ive got against it!

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

But does the wear and schuffing look ok on the wings in the walk areas.  Not the amount and location but the effect.

no

ditch the effects and do it by hand. in fact ditch all effects you are using. I dont use any "special defects" except  basic layer properties like opacity fill linear burn dodge or normal pass through etc.

yes its slow and tedious but its not that bad taking the time to do it when it ends up looking ok after your done

agree on the colors i ordered the big 80 dollar german aircraft color swatch book but its not here yet so cant make a comment on hue or saturation but it might do well to lower this to give it a bit more realism.

Well the effect consisted of using two different brushes and 3 different colors and changing the opacity along with a pass at 20% of a blur brush, not anything fancy.

aye sorry trying to help

i just use a 1 pixel brush for the walkway scratches and erase it with a small eraser brush.

the fancy brushes are not very useful in my opinion

The chips look a little too random to me. I like the chips to conform to the structure below the skin to a degree. The skin is supported by the ribs, spars and bulkheads it is riveted to, but not in the gaps between. The supported areas should get chipped more creating a hint of what lies beneath. You can see this effect in some WW2 photos.
