Windows Media 11

Since I upgraded to this, my Motorola Razor cant connect anymore to the computer, and Windows Media player is the only method of putting songs onto the phone--as far as I know, there aren't any upgrades for the Verizon software/phone--If I choose to uninstall the 11 version, will it revert to 10? or will I have nada?

You can revert back to 9 (which is on my SP1 disc).   I tried 10 and hated it, went back to 9.

That's what I did too, WMP 9 isnt loaded with the DRM crap as badly as the later versions.

Be careful when choosing updates and such from MS.

Sorry for delay, thought thread went un-noticed--V3M, although the computer seems to think it's a C (mebbe 6 months old?)--anyhow I called Verizon, and there were actually helpful--talked me thru the 3 steps to roll 11 back to 10, now the thing works. (I like the phone better than my mp3 player--ya can use speaker if ya want to) WM11 seems to have more art support for cover, etc, but it can't seem to even find the ones which I KNOW are there---it tooks about 400 tracks and assigned them the 'Venus and Mars' art...an album I don't even own--(just a couple tracks):lol

Not sure if this works with the verizon version but motorola sells software called motorola phone tools.  It works with any motorola phone (as far as I know) that has connection capability (blue tooth/USB)

It's crappy software to be honest with you, I'm constantly having to clear out the modem driver and reinstall it but when it works it's real easy to crop and MP3 and load it onto my phone (software does that)

Yup, that's exactly what I use (not much choice, I'm assuming), and same problems. Bigger pain in arse is blue-tooth doesnt work with music, and it has no pure headphone jack--has to come from mini-usb, finally took the ear-buds which came with software package and cut the cheesy buds off and soldered on some nice ones. Even if ya buy a converter plug, it gives ya the TEENY stereo jack, not the 1/8' jack which headphones actually USE, so ya have to buy a 2 inch long adapter and have THAT hanging off. Hmm...I've changed my mind, I HATE this fediddleing phone:furious

I just got my RAZOR and like it.  It's got alot of cool features for what I payed for it and the blue tooth works just fine.  I was forced to (bluetooth) it because the USB hands free sucked and was uncomfortable.  I connect it to my comp via USB and it's probably reliable 70% of the time.  From there i just make sure the mp3 files are small enough and text message them to my buddys who want cool/funny ring tones.

no for music all I do is open up the "melady" studio, crop the file, and transfer it over.  I use the USB cable though.

ahhhh

No this phone sucks for that.  All I hear is "ride of the valkeri" when somone calls.  It's pretty limited.  All I was talking about was transfering of files from PC to phone.

My girlfriend's dad got one of those phones for each of his family members through Cingular. The company screwed him over during the merge, the wife can't figure it out, daughter hates the thing.

Go figure.
